Wanna see my beautiful belly button?

Honey's belly button fluff under close inspection

Sunday, July 12

OK, I'm going and won't be taking the old puter with me *gulp* but if everything goes according to plan *ahem* I won't have time to go online anyway. Definitely, definitely need a holiday from the Internet and emails.

See you on the other side...

Your Life Path Number is 9

Your purpose in life is to make the world better

You are very socially conscious and a total idealist.

You think there are many things wrong with the world, and you want to fix them.

You have a big idea of how to world could be, and you'll sacrifice almost anything to work towards this dream.

In love, you can easily see the beauty in someone else. And you never cling too tightly.

You are capable of great love, but it's hard for you to focus your love on one person or relationship.

You have a lot of outward focus, and you tend to blame the world for your failures.

You are often disappointed by the realities of life - it's hard for you to accept the shortcomings of the world.

What Is Your Life Path Number?

Totally spooky! Although it does make me out to be a nymphomaniac or something...(sorry to disaapoint anyone googling that to come here).

Saturday, July 11

I had to order three tents before I finally managed to get one. When I was emailed that the tent was out of stock after my second order I was beginning to think that higher powers were conspiring against me getting a tent at all!

Firstly, I finally chose the tent I wanted. I decided on The North Face rock 22, 2009 version with improved circulation and bigger entrances. My predicament was where to order it form as if I'm not at home I have to travel to the other side of town to pick it up myself. Some webshops don't deliver to other addresses than the billing address (at tleast for the first order). One shop I'd order from before is a bit slow with deliveries and only having two weeks before going on holiday I didn't fancy the risk. I did try to phone explorestore, but never got through.

When Gaynor sports had a irresistible offer I thought I better go for it although I found some not so flattering reviews of the shop. At this point in time I thought that I could borrow my brother's tent if mine didn't show up in time. I ordered it on Saturday evening and Tuesday I received an email that the tent was out of stock and they didn't know when they would have it back but it could take up to two weeks. This OUT OF STOCK is not indicated on their website, just as folk had indicated in reviews of the shop. Another thing was that once it was delivered you only have 7 days to report any problems with the product. If it arrived while I was on holiday I'd be stuffed. It also transpired that I couldn't borrow my bro's tent after all. Anyway, phoned them up to cancel (was given this option) and the shop assistant was just a bit demotivated when I cancelled. Well, she couldn't even tell when that they would eve have the tent in stock again so I really don't know what she'd expect. Seemed not to be clear to them that it is HOLIDAY SEASON and folk might very well NEED a tent for this little but important reason.

Luckily, or so I thought, I found the same tent on a danish site where my parents happen to get a good discount. I thought I was being really clever and ordering it in DK so it would arrive at my parents' place (they're always at home to take deliveries). Again I received an email that it was out of stock and that they wouldn't actually get it back in stock.

Being tentless a week before going on holiday wasn't something I was pleased about. However, I knew that Webtogs definitely wouldn't let me down so I looked at what they had available and went for a different style of tent and somewhat more expensive. Turns out that it was more expensive than other shops but at least it was delivered the day after I ordered it, just as promised on the website! I'm now the proud owner of a Mountain Hardwear Viperine 2. Turns out I got the last one as well!

What a relief. And the tent even fits in my suitcase.

Friday, July 10

Woohoo, I'm on holiday!

Finally, after three weeks of getting ready (i.e. working late, working ahead, checking up on various folk, and preparing for coming back) I'm offski. Got my tent - third time lucky, but more about that later.

I'm looking forward to two weeks of camping in a field somewhere in DK with about 20,000 other folk. We'll see if that is a good mix with Honey.

You Love Being Single

In general, you're very happy being single.

You like doing your own thing, and you're happy not to have to compromise.

You're not opposed to being attached, but you're not going to settle.

Someone else should your enhance your life, and you're happy to wait for that person.

Do You Hate to Be Single?

Ah, and there we have this waiting malarkey again. Seriously, I've got better things to do than wait. Especially for a man!

The assignment for my course is due. Can you tell? I've also defrosted the freezer and cleaned my room. Some things really haven't changed since TT.
